The Work of Mita has its beginnings in Ecuador in 1993. Some Colombian workers bring this message of salvation to Ecuadorian lands. Hundreds of souls have embraced this Work of the Holy Spirit and today we have two congregations in the province of Esmeralda. In addition, there are also brothers in the cities of Quito, Guayaquil, Manabí, among others.
By 1993, it began to be said in Esmeralda that a church had arrived, where miracles and prodigies were performed. One of those who heard the news was Marcela de Marín. Her daughter suffered from a disease that tormented her; she had no hair. As a result of this, the girl did not want to go to school or go out. Very worried about her daughter, but with hope in God, Marcela came to a service at the Church of Mita. She overheard worker Amanda Sánchez who was preaching on the Biblical verse of the anointing of the sick with olive oil. This motivated her to apply the olive oil blessed by Aarón every day on the little girl's head. At 15 days, hair began to grow on the girl. This testimony solidified the faith of Sister Marcela and her daughter in this Work.
